Composition: The Chairs of each committee are appointed by the President at the Mid Year Meeting. The Vice Chairs are appointed by the Chair at the Mid Year Meeting. The position of chair and vice chair alternate every two years between regular members and associate members. Members of the committee are self selecting, though the President can appoint members to the committee

Mission Statement

2010 Achievements

• Committee established the process of reviewing and communicating the Meltwater articles for the DCA members.
• Added Legislative watch to the DCA newsletter.
• Added co-chair position (John Weaver)
• Purchased Votervoice package to get the DCA issues to the proper representatives.

2011 Goals

• Taking Votervoice to the next level in order to better serve the DCA membership
• Continue to monitor and report on the tier 3 emissions law changes, Stimulus activity and unfunded liability.

2011 Initiatives

• Formalize the charter
• Gain approval from the board on major issues for which we want to advocate to our employees to maximize our impact.
• Utilize votervoice for member company employees to advocate issues to their representatives on our behalf.
